Travel Fee
I charge a travel fee of 43 cents per mile roundtrip to your barn. I split the travel fee among all clients seen in a day, based on the roundtrip distance from your barn to Esmont, VA. Hence, it is more cost effective for clients if I see more than one client at a barn, so the mileage fee can be split among the group.
Saddle Fitting
I charge $85 to fit and adjust the flocking (or mechanically change an adjustable tree) of a saddle for a horse. I charge an additional $25 if I need to see the saddle ridden on your horse.
If I do not work on the saddle, but only give my written opinion on the suitability of the saddle for your horse, the charge is $55, unless there is only one horse for the appointment. Then the fee would be $85 for the consultation. If you would like my opinion on the fit of more than one saddle per horse, there is an additional $10 charge per saddle per horse. I charge an additional $25 if I need to see the saddle ridden on your horse. I also charge a $10 fee for a back tracing, if necessary.
Myofascial Release/Equine Massage
$85 per horse per session. I also charge a travel fee as noted above.
Tack Repair
My minimum repair charge is $15 plus shipping and handling. Or free pick up and delivery at The Scottsville Saddlery.
Saddle Demo Fee
I charge a $99 fitting/demo fee for all saddles. This fee includes a fitting, an evaluation of how the saddle performs while you ride the horse, a back tracing, and if necessary, digital photos. Saddle brands include Albion, Amerigo, Black Country, Custom, and Ideal Saddles.
